Possibly a good program would be a cam like the summit 2801 which has 214/224 on a 112° lsa along with a set of big valve heads like 96's bringing the compression ratio. The 068 cam is on a 116 lobe separation angle (lsa). Also a narrow lsa makes more power, but at a narrower rpm range , where as the same grind with a wider lsa (higher number) makes power across a wider rpm range. So in my opinion, i think.
I wouldn't step all the way up to the crower 60919. The 112 lsa is the average of the intake lc (ilc) and exhaust lc (elc). Didn't know about the specific pontiac lifters.
